  • 1 g kosher salt 1/4 teaspoon

Instructions

Preparation Instructions

  • Allow 1 (8-ounce) package of cream cheese to become soft by letting it sit at room temperature for about 45 minutes. You can also soften it in the microwave for 15 seconds if preferred.
  • In the bowl of a stand mixer or a medium bowl for an electric hand mixer, combine 1/2 cup cold heavy cream. Whip on high speed with the whisk attachment until stiff peaks form, which should take 1 to 3 minutes. If using a stand mixer, move the whipped cream to another bowl; no need to clean the stand mixer bowl.
  • In the same now-empty bowl or a large bowl, mix the cream cheese, 1/2 cup powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt. Beat on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes, making sure to scrape the sides as needed.
  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture using a flexible spatula until well combined. Spread the mixture into a wide, shallow bowl in an even layer.
  • Top with 1/3 cup strawberry preserves, spreading it evenly. Use a fork, toothpick, or knife to gently swirl the preserves into the cheesecake dip. Serve with graham crackers, vanilla wafers, or cinnamon pita chips.
